Pakistan and China have signed a Memorandum of Understanding for expanding bilateral tourism exchanges and cooperation. The MoU signing was a part of activities to commemorate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries being celebrated this year.

A special ceremony was held today at the Embassy of Pakistan to launch Chinese translation of ‘Nuskha Hye Wafa, the complete collection of poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, famous Urdu poet and intellectual of Pakistan. The book has been translated by Professor Zhang Shixuan, notable Chinese poet, translator and critic of Urdu literature.

A ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan today to acknowledge gift of one hundred thousand (100,000) Covid-19 testing kits to Pakistan from China, to bolster Pakistan’s capacity in its ongoing fight against the pandemic.

On 8 November 2021, Pakistan Navy’s first Type 054A/P frigate, PNS Tughril was commissioned at Hudong Zhonghua Shipyard, Shanghai, China. Ambassador of Pakistan to China, H.E. Mr Moin ul Haq graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The signing ceremony for MOU on establishment of Center of Excellence on Artificial Intelligence at Pakistan University of Engineering and Emerging Technology ( PUEET) was held at Wuhan University of Technology (WUT) yesterday. 

An award ceremony in honour of the medical team of Yichang People’s First Medical Hospital was organized at the headquarters of China Three Gorges Corporation CGT in Wuhan today. The medical team had recently returned to Hubei from Pakistan after serving more than one year at Karot Hydropower project.

A splendid inauguration ceremony “China-Pakistan Friendship Square” was held at the river bank of Yangtze River in Wuhan today. Mr. Moin ul Haque, Ambassador of Pakistan to China was the Chief Guest at the ceremony which was also attended by Vice Governor of Hubei, Mr. Zhao Haishan, Vice Mayor of Wuhan, Mr. Jiang Wei and other local senior leaders and officials.

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Pakistan-China diplomatic ties, a grand thematic light show was arranged on the landmark buildings and Yangtze River Bridge in Wuhan city.

In connection with celebration of 70th anniversary of diplomatic relationship between Pakistan and China, the Mission, in coordination with M/o National Food Security & Research Pakistan, Agriculture Trade Promotion Center of the M/o Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China and Shanghai Municipal Agriculture and Rural Affairs Commission, organized the ‘CPEC & BRI Agricultural Cooperation and Exchange Seminar’ on 29 October 2021 in Shanghai.

In order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China, an International Conference on China-Pakistan Cooperation was held on 23-24 October 2021 at Sichuan University, Chengdu.

An award ceremony to honour the winners of the Urdu and Chinese Language Essay Writing Competitions was held today. The competitions were organized by the Embassy of Pakistan and sponsored by Silk Road Cities Alliance to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Pakistan.

The Commencement Ceremony of Pakistan-China Center in Shanghai Cooperation Organization Demonstration Area (SCODA) was held in Qingdao today. Mr. Liu Jianjun, Secretary of Qingdao’s Jiaozhou District Municipal Party Committee and Mr. Meng Qingsheng, Deputy Director General of the Management Committee of SCODA and other high officials from Qingdao Municipal government participated in the event.

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China, Pakistan Cultural Festival was held at International Sailing Centre at Qingdao today.

The 4th Exchange Mechanism Conference of CPEC Consortium of Universities was held today. The Conference was held simultaneously through online and on-site modes at Peking University, Beijing and National University of Sciences and Technology, Islamabad.

The Faisalabad-Qingdao Online Dialogue on Friendly Cooperation was held today in Qingdao. From Chinese side, Mr. Zhao Haozhi, Mayor of Qingdao, Mr. Liu Jianjun, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, Ambassador Nong Rong attended the Dialogue. From Pakistan, Mr. Farrukh Habib, Federal Minister of State, Ambassador Moin ul Haque, Mr. Zahid Hussain, Commissioner Faisalabad and Mr. Muhammad Yousuf, Chief Operating Officer of Allama Iqbal Industrial Park attended the Dialogue.

A launching ceremony of CCTE Model Modern China-Pakistan Joint Education Programme was held at the headquarters of Tang International Education (TIE) Group in Beijing today. Mr. Moin Ul Haque, Ambassador of Pakistan to China was the Chief Guest while senior officials from Guizhou University, Shenzhen Institute of Information Technology, BailieVocational College and Zalmi Foundation also participated in the event.

In order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, a “2021 China-Pakistan Youth Soccer Dream Match” was held at the Embassy of Pakistan. The event was jointly organized by the Embassy of Pakistan, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and the China Friendship Foundation for Peace and Development.

Embassy of Pakistan Beijing organised a friendship cricket event titled “Iron Brothers Cricket Tournament” in Beijing today. The event was organised to mark 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China. It also coincided with 72nd National Day of China.

In order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, a colourful light show was held tonight at the Badaling section of the Great Wall of China.

In order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and China, the People’s Bank of China has issued special commemorative coins to mark this important milestone in history of bilateral ties.

In order to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China, China-Pakistan Two-Way Tourism Seminar was held at SCO Demonstration Area (SCODA) in Qingdao, Shandong province.

Ambassador Moin ul Haque and Mr. Luan Jianzhang, Director General of Foreign Affairs Office of Tianjin Municipal Goverment inaugurated the event. A large number of Pakistani and Chinese nationals participated in the marathon. Later on, the Ambassador and the Director General distributed the prizes among the winners of the marathon.

A special ceremony was held today at Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing to award letters and certificates of appointment to the eight newly appointed Honorary Investment Counsellors (HICs). These HICs have been appointed by Government of Pakistan to help promote bilateral trade and investment promotion between the two countries.
